For a client of Spilberg I'm currently looking for a Java/Kotlin Developer to join their team.
This client is a leading player in the media industry, with an extensive collection of influential news brands, magazines, television programs, radio stations, and online platforms. They operate in both traditional and modern media, with a strong focus on digital transformation and technological innovation. Their diverse portfolio reaches a wide audience and offers engaging content and entertainment experiences.
About the position
In total, they have 5 teams working on this platform. You'll be part of a small team that is dedicated to platform improvements. For their backend, they mainly use Java and Kotlin.
Your main responsibilities
- Consistently create and deploy fresh code to production within an Agile workplace setting;
- Continuously enhance their services, bolstering their resilience, scalability, and dependability;
- Collaborate with fellow team members to shape the software architecture of their services;
- Foster knowledge exchange among their community of backend developers, collectively ensuring the ongoing evolution of their platform.
Your goals will be thoroughly discussed, and there are ample growth opportunities if you're looking to progress within the organization, such as Lead or Architect roles.
Your profile

They are seeking an individual who embodies independence, self-motivation, rapid learning, and effective teamwork;

You possess hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, ideally in intricate environments, with a preference for e-commerce;

Navigating AWS cloud environments is second nature to you, and you excel in modern, automated CI/CD practices;

Security is a core value for you, reflecting your commitment to safeguarding systems;

Your approach emphasizes Infrastructure as Code for deployment, utilizing AWS CDK in TypeScript.
Desirable attributes:

While not mandatory, experience with Kotlin is a plus, and they're eager to provide training if needed;

Your background includes crafting highly secure and/or robustly available systems;

Familiarity with Akamai, AWS Certifications, and expertise in RESTful services, APIs, service-oriented architecture, and design further enhance your profile.
